Refbook and Football Victoria announce partnership
Football Victoria (FV) is pleased to announce a new partnership with online officials management platform, Refbook.
The partnership brings a suite of benefits for all involved in refereeing, harnessing new tools to streamline the administrative tasks associated with referee list management, appointments, assessment, reporting, and pathway visibility.
Importantly, Refbook will support the transition to digital payments to referees for all FV sanctioned competitions, simplify the match officials appointment process and introduce a mobile app to allow for real-time updates and data capture.
Not only will Refbook simplify processes and communication for referees, but also reduce administrative tasks for Clubs.
Football Victoria Executive Manager – Football Operations, Dan Birrell, is looking forward to implementing an improved experience for match officials in Victoria.
"Our referees have one of the hardest, yet most rewarding roles in football, and we are continually exploring new initiatives to support this important cohort. The proposed changes will enhance the professionalism and efficiency of the officiating process while ensuring better safety and respect for referees. This implementation responds to the demands of the community, aligning with modern trends in digital technology, reducing reliance on cash, and addressing societal shifts."
Refbook Co-founder and Head of Commercial, Jon Chapman, echoed Birrell’s sentiments.
“We’re delighted to welcome Football Victoria to the Refbook family. As the largest Football Competition administrator in Australia, the Football Victoria team shares our mantra for a holistic solution for referee operations across all levels of the game. Refbook’s suite of specialist officials management products can scale across Football Victoria’s diverse competition requirements, while providing a new level of insight and connectivity as the governing body across the officiating pathway.”
